Reading a story
And then writing one myself,
It takes me to another place,
Much better than the one
In which I’m living.
A place full of fantasy,
Nonsense, and the like
Where anything might happen,
All from my own mind.
My writing creates
A whole new world for me
Where only I decide
Each thought, each action
What happens next,
And how the story ends.
So powerful, I can learn to be
When I pick up my pen and write.
