You Knew We'd Stand Together

We are at your and beck and call
We are your court Jesters and Fools
Call and we may please you
We’re attentive to your rule

You have us by your grip
Don’t think we’ll run away
We lost our minds before
We’ve got nothing for to play

We walk around and around
These continuous stairs
Winding upward and down
Don’t seem to lead anywhere

It's heated but we're level
Watchful at the same time
You'll play us all like fools
For we aren't worth a dime

We’re in a glass bowl
For all to see
Gulping for air
Unhappy are we

We’re on your straining chain
Like dogs we’re walked around
We can’t look up to see the sky
We must look at the ground

Hah, you think we’re jolly
Just wait until we’re done
Sitting with your fellows
We’ll ruin all the fun

We will stand together
Angry but polite in voice
We’ll defeat you before it’s over
You won’t know you had a choice

We are weak alone
But together we are strong
We will not break apart
And you knew it all along
