The truth it hurts
It blinds you and
Makes you see reality
No matter how hard
You try not to
It's always there where you don't want it
Ready to pounce
As soon as you awaken
You can't run
You have to face it
Despite how ugly it can be
The truth it hurts
It reveals all your flaws
No matter how hard
You try to hide them
It stings you where it matters most
Yea, the truth it hurts
But it'll never go away
It's there to stay
It'll get you down
Like it wants to
It forces you to be insignificant
Amongst the maelstrom
The truth always stands
Yea, the truth it hurts
And there's nothing you can do.
