The World
The world... is all in perspective
To you
What you believe, Who you are, Where you’re from
We all... Have a place
And thank god it’s not worse
For it’s all in perspective
To the rich man
He believes in his money
His big house, His fabulous town
And thankful that he’s not the poor man
And it’s all in perspective
To the poor man
He believes in the next paycheck
His unsteady job, The roof over his house
And thanks god he’s not the starved man
And it’s all in perspective
To the starved man
He believes in finding his next meal
The starved image he is, And the America he lives in
And thanks god he’s free
And isn’t that communist victim
…how it’s all in perspective
to the communist victim
who believes in another’s power
the pawn of government he is
the controlled, helpless situation he’s in
but thanks god he’s healthy
for it’s all in perspective
to the sick man
who believes in hope, the strong-willed man he is
and the healthy family he’s from
but thanks god... thanks god
that there’s always life
and he’s not dead.
