Mistaken, Forsaken

Mistakes are made, forgiven and forgotten,
Or so the story goes,
But could just one mistake changes ones life,
Could thorns overpower the rose?

His heart is bound beneath the pain,
And yet his soul stands strong,
Forsaken, mistaken, a kind-hearted mind,
He finds the strength to go on.

The strokes of a bursh and the quill of a pen,
Tell of a story seldom told,
For beneath the old tattered garments,
You'll find a heart of pure gold.
