In the blankets of foreboding the window cast,
Wreaths of smoke hang over my past.
As I water heaven with my night and day tears,
This heart sinks deeper and I discover my fears.
Aching joys are now no more,
I've misplaced happiness and the ability to soar.
The shadow of the dome of pleasure floats midway on the waves,
While the current pulls me out like an impelled slave.
