Monotonous,
you sound so unemotional.
Monotonous,
you sound so over-rehearsed.
You're speak in monologues,
and regurgitated verses.

Monotonous,
you're crude to the core.
Monotonous,
you repeat what I say.
You listen and nod at every thought,
like a written speech for each day.

Monotonous,
you act as though all should approve.
Monotonous,
you tell the world your actions.
You tell them what you do at night,
and all you do in a lonely fashion.

Monotonous,
you say you loved me.
Monotonous,
you speak of me as flawless.
It makes me sick how you used me,
and visually I was your goddess.

Monotonous,
I regret my time with you.
Monotonous,
I just passed time with you.
I'm glad I got rid of you when I did,
Monotonous, I hope I learn to forget.
