We built to heaven
We built to hell
But in limbo we are stuck
No longer do animals run wild
On the plains of yesterday
They only exist for us
In all our factories to feed
And keep away
No plants grow in the open forest
For now it is all stone and metal
Only in little pots do any dare grow up
Towards us in our towers of stone
And never shall their roots invade
Our great man made caves down below
The seas no longer wash the shore
For no shores are there to see
Long ago we soaked them up
All just for our need
No birds fly in the skies today
No eagle’s soar over head
Only the darkened night
And the robotics’ might
We built to heaven
We built to hell
But in limbo we are stuck
It is sad to see the might we had
Fall and come to this
We’ve killed our planet
We’ve killed our selves
And hopefully neither shall you see
Our towers rise for miles high
And our caverns bury deep
We seek to find which was never lost
Just merely overcrowded
No longer is there a frontier
No more are there empty spaces
No longer can you breath fresh air
For all is now recycled
A future once bright and joyess
Now dark and desolate
A world once alive
Now dead and swallowed up
We built to heaven
We built to hell
But in limbo we are stuck
A look at a future trapped on Earth.
A reason why we must continue into space.
