An old man lying on his deathbed
Reflects back on his life
He wasted it away
And could only ponder why

He thought to himself
That he was meant for so much more
But the meaning got lost somewhere
And with it so much he could've lived for

It's not like he was nothing
He knows everything he has
But what bothers him most
Is what more he could've had

In his final moments
He brings everyone in
His eyes are filled with tears
From his deep regret within

His final speech
Was honest and true
To live our lives to the fullest
Is what he wanted us to do

To not go out
Broken and wasted
To not go out
Like he did
