A broken heart
alone in this world
everyone forgot
and she was left alone
she was hurt and burnt
but she survived
only to take her own life
if only someone had cared
had reached out their hand
but that little broken heart
died alone and so cold
and left the world to wonder
all the 'what ifs' and the 'buts'.
A cold gray stone
is the only reminder of her
and the pain she had to suffer
so take a good look around
and reach out to that broken heart
because although you may not know
you could save their life
