Dreaming Tree

Someone once told me,
That the Dreaming Tree was just a tree,
I thought to myself this couldn't be,
I'd always lie on the limb there,
Wondering if anyone could hear,
The wonderful sounds only certain people can bear,
Then disaster struck,
As if lightning took me down like a buck,
The Dreaming Tree was dying,
My heart was ruined, someone stole the key,
Trying to replace it with a big fee,
I thought to myself this couldn't be,
Now the Dreaming Tree is dead,
And all that remains is the earth that served as its bed.
