How long does it take
For a broken heart to mend
For the sun to shine again
A dark and broken place
Of exile I have been cast to
Never to return again until,
I can learn to love again
Cut real deep by the one I loved
I turn to no one, but the one above
When the request is heard
And the end seems near
My cry is answered
And my hate for you turns back to love
That's when you realize
That your heart has been mended
And you learn that dark place
Has but barely bended
