Bright light stinging my eyes
As tears run down,
As I think of you-

From fighting a losing battle

Leading me through my sorrows-
I would have done anything
Just to see you smile and
I would have brought you the moon
If it would have made you happy-
My heart ached with love for you
But that was not enough

Slowly you wandered,
So slowly you left me here
I held, tried to hold on
But you left me all alone-
Now my nights are lonely
No stars in the sky for me
Now my days are hollow
The sun burning my upturned face-
As I look, I stare up at the light
I offer these tears that I cry
As I think of you,
As I think only of you
