Went For The Friend

At the beginning it
Fantastic!
Hell- perfect,
I should say,
But inside something
Irked me,
Like it was me
That needed a price to pay,
“You love me, you love me not”
Petals flown to the ground,
As every idiom proved
We weren’t meant to be,
There was someone else,
My best friend I guessed,
Because They always
Go for the best friend,
Or use you to get to her,
I knew it in my heart,
All along,
Yes, I did,
Because that’s how it’s supposed
To be,
Audition to be with the best friend?
You’re the bottle,
And I’m the lid,
No longer will this relationship
Stay opened.
I’m closing it,
Like you did on my heart.
