The distance kept us apart
We knew it would from the start
We tried to make it work
But sometimes it just really hurt
To be away from you
And you knew it too
So it had to end
At least we'll still be friends
I'll really miss the happiness we shared
And all the kisses that showed we cared
Maybe someday we'll be together again
And if that happens, I'll wait until then
