Destiny

Why must things be the way that they are?
Happiness always seems so far
Life always a whirlwind
Twisting and turning
Always in the wrong direction
Just when you think
Everything is so complete
Along comes the world
So willing to compete
Just when you think
You’re as safe as can be
Think again
Cause things really stink
Life is a challenge
This true to everyone
But why is this world so cruel
Does it not know
I am running out of fuel
It takes all my hopes
And turns them upside down
Leaving me with a frown.
I hold my head high
Guess I stretched it to far
Cause look where I be
Somewhere no one can see
A place very dark and cold
Not one that many are told
Some call it tough luck
Others say it sucks
But for those who know it
Know that it is reality
A world so cruel
And this is your destiny.
