My Story To Tell

Cards upon the wall
Tell a fragile story
Cards upon the wall
Of pain and of false glory

Lord, your son is crying
His children hurt Him so
Lord, your son is crying
He watches them below

Stone eyes do bore into me
Mary, I can’t look away
Stone eyes do bore into me
My hands clasped cannot pray

Pace on tiled floorboards
Words come but don’t impact
Pace on tiled floorboards
Ears are no longer in tact

Carvings on the beams
Distracting eyes to wander
Carvings on the beams
Leave so much to ponder

Candles for the pained
Red with flames afire
Candles for the pained
Who shall sing aspired?

Silent songs are sung
Feelings not in words
Silent songs are sung
Deafness may be heard

Meet Him in the sun
All just down the lane
Meet Him in the sun
Love dares to be explained

Thorns did hurt Him so
His hands love me to end
Thorns did hurt Him so
What signs shall He send?
