How scared I was

I was just a little girl
Not ready for the pain inside of me
I remember, when you saw me open my eyes
You placed your hand over my mouth
I remember squeezing my eyes shut
Trying to keep the tears from coming out
The threat you made
The words you said
I froze with fear trying not to make a sound
I was scared my fate was death
You plunged up deep inside me
Like I was just some object for your needs
My face was damp with tears
Hoping more than anything
That you would just let me be
