standing in the rain on the corner
dancing in the puddles all alone
she knows
where you run when you hide
and she knows where you go when you want to get away
her eyes see through the shattered tears
of all the yesteryears and broken dreams she brings
her friends have been tried for treason
to a heart that's made of stone
their crimes run cold in her eyes
but still she sees you when you're hiding beneath the covers
when you cry for what is lost
she sees everything within you
her glance penetrates your eyes
she sees behind, like into a mirror
she sees the pain behind every time
you tried to smile
but never did they see her
never did they care
they always watched as she danced all alone in the rain
like one gone mad
but all those who could never see her
finally cut her free of this world


[one of those moments.... i know it doesn't flow well.... but i think
it fits. who knows.]
