Without having to fear
Someone might see us
And make a big fuss

The sparkle in my eyes
The glow upon my face
When we are together-you and me
I want the world to see
That no other can compare
No other stands a chance
I want the world to know
My heart belongs to you.
I guess I want too much
And my hopes are set to high
What the world does see
It's not you and me,
But you and her
The world doesn’t see
The sparkle in my eye
But sees the sorrow
Or the glow upon my face
It sees the sadness
the emptiness
Of being alone.
The world only sees
my hardened heart
As it patiently waits
Just to be with you.
