Truthful Captivity

They say the truth
Will set you free
I told the truth
And here I be
Here I lay
Amidst the stone
Confused and lost
My heart to roam
The empty words
Which mean so much
His painful kiss
His tender touch
And with these eyes
Has moved to lust
A single thread
Would hold as much

These things I dream
While I’m asleep
Has caused my tender
Heart to weep.
And in the pain
Of which I feel
A frightened love
That’s much too real
And mist these tears
A silenced joy
Within the rain
A tarried toy
A quiet slumber
Overjoyed
And all to think
Just for a boy

So here I stand
Upon my road
Where two paths lead
As hearts I hold
And through my thoughts
Will bring alive
One boys heart
As other cries
But yet I cannot
Dream of this
While I long
For both a kiss
And although one
Heart I shall miss
Will not spare me
This nightly bliss

But in my heart
There is not one
Who has become
My moon and sun
So in my words
One in the same
I told two hearts
To seek my name
And yet the light
I wish to see
Has brought this pain
Around to me
And here inlays
My dreadful deed
I told the truth
To set me free
