Lonely Hours

And my heart bleeds, it bleeds for you
And I cry these tears, I cry them for you
But you never heard me, never wanted to hear
As I wept your name into the night,
You never came, never came back to me
As I cried out your name into the night-
A fragile mind, burdened with the past
Now haunted by these heavy thoughts
Remembering you, your tainted lips
The lies I tasted on those lips
Remembering your cold, dead eyes
Eyes that stared back into mine
I remember the nights, the lonely hours
When you would hold me here, here with you
I remember the days, painfully slow
When you would bring me down, hold me down-
And now that you have gone away, slipped away
There is nothing left to say, nothing left for me to say
Left with these wounds that will not heal
Left with this heart that cannot heal
I cry, I pray, I call to you
I scream your name to the darkening sky
Because I need you, want you, need you to return
I need you to return to me, come back to me
And take away this pain you’ve brought,
Damage you’ve wrought-
I need you to take the pain away
I still need you
