She drove home from work at night
She never dreamt of such a fright
She never drank or broke the law
Then something happened she didn’t see at all
She drove on a green through an intersection
It went by so fast there could be no reaction
Her car went spinning for ninety feet
I’ve never seen a car look so beat
The other car was full of alcohol
She was so strong but had to fall
More to see was marijuana and weed
She can’t come back no matter how hard we plead
On the streets remains her blood
Horrible memories begin to flood
In my mind and in my thoughts
For several months I have fought
To accept the fact that she’s not here
Leaves me crying out every tear
She talked to God everyday
She asked Him to protect her in every pray
She never smoked or broke curfew
And now she has no future to hold on to
She always dreamt of being a rock star
Singing her heart out while playing guitar
No one knew her as well as her brother
Who took care of her in place of their father
One night he went out all alone
Drunk from a party while on the phone
Ran a red light going the speed of sixty
Crashing into his sister killing her instantly
From then on he stopped smoking
But he couldn’t stop himself from thinking
The look of the car, her lifeless body
The tears of anger he can’t set free
His life was partying and being a rebel
He knew she was in heaven and he’d be in hell
He never forgave himself for what he did
Drinking and driving he now forbids
