The Future Is Bleak

The future is bleak
A mere stop on this endless track
I wish not to go
To stay behind where I’m at
Never looking back
Crimson blood seeping from my skin
Face turns pale and my breaths come short
I claw down the track
The future my destination
A place I am not meant to be
A place where I do not wish to be
But it is my only hope
I leave a trail behind on my torturous trek
No trail which will ever be followed
Wrists bloody, face scrapping across the ground
Dragging my lifeless body
To an oasis never to be found
Turning blue in the snow covered ground
Losing hope in this frost covered world
This world in which I’m not meant to stay
Where I hopelessly weep and stray
I get lost in my tracks
Looking forward, never going back
I want to escape this, knowing that I never can
Everyone thinks that I can do this
I know that I will never make it
The future is bleak
A place where I do not belong
Why should I prolong my already decided fate
Why should I claw my way to the top
Why not stop.
Lay lifeless on the ground
A crimson puddle forming beneath my body
My hair growing crusted with blood
My face becoming twisted with hate
This is where I belong
Caught up in the past
Never moving forward, never looking back
Stuck between two worlds
Stuck where I belong
The future is bleak
Not the place for me
The past is behind me
There’s no looking back
This place in the between is a fine place to me
This place where I belong
This place which is me.
