I Needed To Know How Much You Cared

Standing profile
You stand there
Uneasy and bland.
Why didn’t you ask me?
I was mourning and
You didn’t even ask me.
It was as if you saw through me.
You didn’t bother to hold
Me in your arms.
Why didn’t you hold
Me in your arms?
I needed to be held.
I needed to be-
To be loved.
And,
As I’m looking
Down,
I feel myself frown,
Then cry.
Sorry that I committed
Suicide.
Remembering
That living the life
I had,
Was rare.

Well-
At least now I know
How much you cared.
