I Miss You

I miss you, baby, really, I do
Life’s so freaking hard without you
Each step taken is tiredly stumbled
And each word spoken is sadly mumbled
I need you here again in my arms
Keeping me safe from the world’s harms
Each song played is only wasting time
And each poem written has lost its rhyme
I want you back, here beside me
I liked life how it used to be
Each breath taken is only a sigh
And each dream seen is but a lie
I wish you hadn’t left me all alone
You’re no longer for me to call my own
Each smile now is only me trying to pretend
And each laugh is me faking I don’t need a friend
I miss you more than you could ever see
But that can’t possibly bring you back to me
Each day I miss you more and more
And each night you’re all I can ever ask for
