When you free me from these chains
the ones that bound me to this chair
The chair that sits me down right here
The place that treats me so unfair
I will scream and stride away
From the place that keeps me down
In the dungeons of my sorrow
Of which imprisoned by is my frown
When you let me forget the thoughts
That keep me estranged and empty
A feeling known to make me cry
sobs that are cruel and lengthy
I will rejoice for the simplicity
The feeling that makes one free
A concept that i have not known
For i've been held unwillingly
When you take your grasp from my heart
The thing that keeps me ONLY living
A state not compared to being alive
Which if not had, it's not worth giving
I will let it beat away and breathe
A luxury not afforded to my soul
A prisoner in your eternal fire
In your mind where i'm so cold.
