Purity seems so unreachable,
In a world so corrupt with sin...
The stories we have to tell are unspeakable,
-To tell of the pain we feel within.
I miss being able to fly...
To feel the wind whip through my hair.
Where perfect love was between you and I,
-When I thought you truly cared...
My world's pessimism sickens me,
But no longer can I shield my ears.
Why is it only gray skies that I see,
In a place where they used to be so clear...
My mind's grown so weary,
From the pain that we all feel.
Shrouded in shadows, all too dreary,
-My heart's much too broken to heal...
Saddened by the thought of you,
By the thought of your sudden departure.
Pained by a memory or two,
By the Perfect Love you said you'd assure.
And in this world I see it so much more,
Deep within you is where it lies.
The pain you feel that you thought I'd ignore,
So much more lays inside these eyes...
Evict me, from the piercing of my soul,
From this eternal unrest.
Was it such a sin to love - to finally feel whole,
And to thank God for being so blessed?
...Purity seems so unreachable,
In a world so corrupt with sin...
The stories we have to tell are unspeakable,
-Where shall I begin?
