Once upon an endless dream,
There was a girl who wanted to scream.
Always hiding her feelings inside,
Never knowing just when to confide.

She was always “happy-go-lucky” allied,
Even though she was dying inside.
No one has ever seen her cry,
Never once has someone asked why.

They all go on living their life,
Not looking under to find out her strife.
They all wonder why she’s so happy,
When in the end she could be deadly.

At night she goes out for a walk,
Wanting so badly for just one little talk.
All this confusion, all this frustration,
Leading her farther into drinking the poison.

No longer can she take this pain,
It hurts too much for words to explain.
The scars on her body aren’t from abuse,
For she needed some excuse.

So long has she waited for the end,
Killing herself she’s almost impend.

She can’t hurt herself,
She doesn’t have the courage,
She can only think about it,
Where is her stoppage?

Her friends, her family,
Her bodyguard protectors,
The ones she loves most,
To give her the answers.

Do they care for her?
Do they not understand?
The smile could be a frown
That she has banned.

Let her know that you are there,
Let her know that you still care.
Give her a hug show her your love,
Let her know she’s sent from above.

For the next day you could find a note,
And see a slit right through her throat.
Knowing that you could have stopped her,
With only one simple gesture.

A hug.
