When the cold sweeps over like freezing rain
On a lifeless form that can’t feel pain,

The tears flow rapidly making blurry stains streak
Tumbling wetness flowing on grief stricken cheeks,

The most sincere sympathies can not bring back
The spirit that this body so dearly lacks,

So I sit here and ponder why oh why
Did this cherished life have to slip by
