When the dark casts across the sky
When people think your hopes are high
You wish the life you are living wasn’t a lie
You wish you could shrivel up and die
When the moon comes in full view
You stare up at the sky, a vast dark hue
You cry a tear as you wish upon a star
Everyone hopes you’ll go far
You watch everyone who is better then you
Wanting to be like them, to try something new
They won’t give you a try
You go home from school everyday, about to cry
When you are alone in your room
You think of your day that was full of gloom
You want to leave, for this pain you can’t take
Wanting some good friends that you could make
When you walk down the hall and people stare
You wonder about how much they don’t care
They look, point, and laugh
Its invisible but you can feel their wrath
When you see everyone around you
They all seem happy, not the kind of life you go through
You see their lives like yellow and bright
Not having to live in the dark and in fright
You want to try to live on the right side
Not to have many feelings to hide
You want to have someone there
To tell your secrets to, your secrets to share
You watch the other girls go down the hall
They walk with grace while you trip and fall
On the ground everyone points and begins a silent laugh
You wish this life weren’t yours, that they’d feel your wrath
When you’re in class, you start to day dream
About living like them but being tortured to death, you begin to scream
You can’t take it, not being like them, being almost perfect
Nothing but being treated like a reject
When you hear the phone ring
You hope that it has good news to bring
But you answer and it’s not too cool
It’s for your mom and dad, it’s from school
They’ve noticed some changes in your attitude and mood
How people stare at you and are extremely rude
They’re worried about you and hope you’re alright
They’ve got your parents in full frontal fright
Your parents ask you to come to them, just to talk
You’re getting worried; you begin to choke, as if you’re in a head lock
They want to get someone, someone who can help
They can’t hear it but in your head you begin to yelp
You want to get away from everyone
Look at the mess that’s been done
You want it to end so badly
You can’t believe what’s going to happen because of your mommy and daddy
You head upstairs about to get into your bed
You hate this life, this life of dread
You go to sleep hoping the next day will be great
But then you remember you’re in a world of hate
