Poem For The Weary And The Broken

In a tree there hangs a noose
And through it my head lay.
For all to see me hanging there,
Then turn and walk away.
They say "Look at the pervert there"
"look at the stupid guy,"
They pass along and show their disgust
In me as they walk by.
They do not see the pain I feel
There from the noose that constrains me,
They do not see the tears I cry,
Or the broken heart that pains me.
For in the noose my air is choked,
But there I'm alive even now,
My eyes rain tears and my heart is broke,
Though the world does not see why or how.
They keep passing by, throwing harsh words,
Knowing I hear what they say.
They do not care that it hurts me so,
But instead they walk away.

The End
