Dark petals
Weaving through my hand
Raven black as night
And soft as shadows

Pricked by a thorn
At one touch
Yet still I stare
Into the petals—
Cold and dark,
Despair.

Darkness calling me in
With a whisper, a kiss,
One drop of blood
Tempting with sorrows,
Darkness enchanting.

My soul held on a leaflet
Imprisoned in a single rose
Hope has left me
With solitude, my only friend
Trapped,
Without escape.
