Our hidden place glints
From the dreary panes of
my window

Painful memories
begin to ensue
Tearing through my all too
Broken heart

Tearing
Searing
This weary phantom apart.

Our hidden place;
Do you dare remember?
Those winter nights in which
We shared

Our hopeless plight
Of love surrendered
Upon an earthen
Cradle unprepared

Oh how the sand ran through
Our hair as our love we did render

You to I
and I to you

Through a promise’s sigh
Did we surrender
A love we dare not permit
Die.

From the dreary panes of
my window
Our hidden place glints

Telling a time of love
Foolishly spent

When, upon the hidden
Earth,
We gave emotions untrue

These false emotions
It seems
Have forever bound me
To tormenting memories of you

Deceitful emotions
Which I have grown to resent

For I cannot undue
This, the fallacy I deliberately pursued.
