A Deadly Night's Glance

By:
frolic then die

I layed beneath the open sky,
Until the sun kissed me goodnight.
The stars drowned me with their grace,
Winking my life away with unrenouned beauty.
A note lies apon my bed,
next to the wilted rose I grew for you.
It's sealed with a shameful goodbye,
And detailed with the sweetest purfume.
There's a silent truth that you finally deserved to know.
As you open the charred paper enscribing my life,
Remember to look up at the sky.
For that's where I smiled my last goodbye.
