She sheds a tear
Of sorrow and pain
It falls to the pavement
And coincides with the rain
Her footsteps make
No obvious pounds
The patter of the rain
Covers up the sounds
Drops of water
Slide off her brown hair
It leaves her to ponder
With an innocent stare
Her deep blue eyes
Are swollen with hurt
Looking past the grey sky
In paralyzed alert
Her body is shaking
So cold and alone
Waiting for a reason
To lead her back home
Her conscience is blinded
No use to break free
She pauses to read
What she did not see
She vaguely remembers
The look in his eyes
As he kissed her lovingly
And whispered "goodbye"
All she wants right now
Is to fade away
Into her own zone
All alone, she will stay
Forevermore broken
Forvermore bruised
He's pulled her strings
Watched her bleed
And burned out her fuse
She wants to be where he is not
The life within her
Withers and rots
The secrets she kept
Will rise to the top
Let her out of this hole
That she so desperately fought in
Let her go, when she knows
She will be forgotten...
