As I take this gleaming blade
And run it across my skin
The painful memories of you rush back into me
As I watch the blood gush out
I hold myself and think “Why did you do this to me?”
You were just too blind to see
That you really didn’t love me
I should have known you couldn’t be trusted
So I have fallen too
I really did believe you loved me
Over and over I tell myself “you’ll change”
But now I finally see
You were too busy with yourself to care about me
Never again will I trust someone like I trusted you
Never again will I love someone like I loved you
And even though I hate you for this
If you ever need me, I’ll be here for you
