Like a trophy she stands in the middle of the bay
Looking over our country, she watched that terroristic day.
The banner is our symbol, our flag waving high.
As the cloud of black smoke filled that clear blue sky.
As tears were shed, our freedom cried.
We lost the world trade, so many loved ones died.
Our tears were shed but we held strong
Iraq felt our wrath and the war was long.
Terroristic notes and threatening letters
were sent to our country, following that September.
Through all the pain that they put us through,
Our freedom and liberty still held true.
“We will not forget!” was our battle cry
as flights 11 and 175 came out of the sky.
Kamikazes in pride had boarded the plane
Hours before the others on that freedom threatening day.
We watched in horror as the tape was played.
We were depressed as a nation on that horrifying day.
To them it was pride, it was justice, it was fun.
But they had no idea how it united us as one.
We were already united and we stand tall.
A message to everyone We Will Not Fall!
This is nothing to harm us but a glitch in our past.
Our liberty has always and will always last.
Like in our anthem. We are the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Do what you want but that will not change.
Our statue is our trophy, our pride, our gold.
All in itself, a treasure to behold.
Then there stands our flag our colors red, white and blue.
They stand for our power, and the things we hold true.
Go ahead and threaten us. We laugh in your name.
We as a nation will always stay the same.
Powerful, proud, loyal and strong.
Our anthem symbolizes this as our nation’s song.
Our flags stand on poles, way up high.
The poles symbolize our unity, reaching for the sky.
No one can knock us down or push us around.
We are a great nation. We stand together.
Strong and great, we will be forever.
