I hold you close, lost in your arms
Feeling secure, I know there’s no harm
With your arms wrapped around me, I feel protected
Around you, I never feel neglected

You made me laugh with just your smile
Making me feel like I was worthwhile
You brightened my day with just your presence
Everything about you, seemed more than pleasant

But why is it you pushed me away
Saying that everything will be okay
You crushed my heart into tiny pieces
The memories of us together in the creases

The warm tears filled my eyes
You didn’t do anything when you said your good-byes
All the “I love yous” mean nothing to you
All the memories making me feel blue

What am I going to do without you here?
Writing this, watching it get blotted from every tear
I’m hurting bad, inside and out
What you did to me, has left me with much doubt
