Chain

Seeing everything,
Don't have a choice,
Can't moved, I'm tied,
Can you hear my voice?
Unsatisfied,
Those who care,
Don't know what to do,
My life once shared.
Happy and blind, before you,
Lost in pools of self-pity,
What was my true identity,
Birds sang in lovely trees.
All there's left are dead leaves,
Where a garden once bloomed,
A mother grieves,
Left motionless and shaken.
Not knowing how to be strong,
For those still her kin,
Are alive and seeing what is wrong,
Waiting for something never to come.
Disappointment filled their days,
Watching a dark sun,
Not knowing another way
The willful Chain,
Added the lost,
Never will things be the same,
The ripple effect unstopped.
The Chain goes on unended,
Those unnoticed are drawn,
Hearts broken and unmended,
Always waiting for the dawn.
