I am just a girl
Trying to make it in this world
Learning about life
And all of its strifes

I realize that it's hard
But I still hope to go far
In whatever I do
And that I make it through

I'm doing this all alone
Making sure I have a home
And food on my plate
And that my bills aren't paid late

I am finding out how
To become independent now
To do things by myself
And to handle all that is dealt
