Sleep the day away
Slip through the grasp
Of that solemn iron grate
That chains you to your past

Walk without feeling
Estrangements as they come
From all angles of the day
Think it doesn’t matter some

Talk without listening
Move your lips to the beat
Of that tremulous heart
That’s been thrown at your feet

Move without grace
Plunder through the air
Cut it like a sharpened knife
And act wihout a care
