Recalling Love

The many days we shared, is all i can remember
I thought that you and I were special, we would last forever
But our love was like a joy ride
and we had our repercussions in the end

When all was said and done, I felt this sharp pain
The pain was searing in me, i thought i would go insane
I see why i felt it, what i was supposed to feel
I knew in my heart that we would come to an end

Yet i played the game of love, and i lost
I took a big gamble, and I paid the cost
When i took the risk,i didn't stop the think
What would happen if i lost

As i think about us right now, a smile appears
I knew what i had to do, i knew i had to face my biggest fears
I would have to move on, it was a scary thought
But i knew it was for the best

I have moved on, anyone can surely tell
None could notice that i have been through hell
Now when i see you i give a big wave
Knowing it was over, it was for the best
