Is There Really A God?

Is there really a God
High in the sky
Watching the world
As it passes him by.

Is there a God
Who hears people plead
Who helps the ones
That are in desperate need.

God,
If you are really there
Why can't you answer
My little prayer?

It's not big
I'm not asking for a lot
But you're my last hope
You're all that I've got.

If you are really there God
Then please answer this now
I'll do anything
And I'll never break my vow:

"All's that I want
Is to not be lost
Inside of this world
With such a great cost."

I close my eyes
But I don't feel a thing
Just painful silence
That makes my ears ring.

Maybe it will just take time
I'll find a way to stall
Or maybe there just is no God
No one in heaven at all.
