Personal priorites,
Take over life,
Dwell,
In your mornings,
Afternoons,
And nights.
Willfully planning,
Each second as it goes,
Before I know it,
My life
Isn’t mine no more.
Grasping,
For acceptance,
By my own heart.
I take my time,
Dealing my own cards.
Bad hands,
Bring me foul.
The dice set before me,
I don’t roll,
To give myself exemption,
And a dream to bestow.
Is there really someone out there for me?
Is there really someone who will love me, for me?
Will they see beyond the surface,
And see me inside,
Where I become so alive?
They say you can’t love,
If you don’t love yourself,
But if someone,
Shows they love you,
They will bring you to love yourself
Cutting paper dolls,
Is what my life will be,
If I can’t find the person I was,
Or a person to love me.
