What Is Loneliness?

Loneliness is ungrateful.
It is sad and is never merciful.
Loneliness will forever haunt souls.
It will be like a shadow that passes overhead.

Loneliness is depression.
It is a great sadness that sweeps over your soul.
It is not happy.
Nor is it joyful.

What is loneliness?
Is it sad or happy?
Or is it just part of our imagination?
Does any of humankind know what loneliness is?
