a bouquet of misery.

I could have sworn,
It was a rose he was giving me,
I could have sworn,
I was HIS rose.
I could have sworn
That he was a rose for me,
But he stung me with his thorn.

Each time he offered me a rose,
I said no
But it never reached his ear's.
I said them on the inside,
yes...
Is what he hears.

I could have sworn,
He was just giving me a rose.
unfortunately way more than that,
Was given to me.
All I ever wanted was a rose,
Instead he gave me
a bouquet of misery.
