and my body.
You took what I had
and left me with nothing.
I tried to be perfect
so you wouldnt leave
but after it all, you did.
You left me waiting
by the phone every day.
Hoping I'd hear it ring,
I'd stay up all night,
just to hear your sweet voice.
But then you did call,
and said to me gently
"i love you beautiful,
and I'll never leave"
But soon after that
you left me feeling blue.
I cried and cried
from morning til noon
and you didn't seem to care,
that you had broken my heart.
You told me to never leave you,
but look the table has turned,
and not on me but you!
I gave you everything.
My heart I let you hold onto,
and my body that you used.
I wanted so badly to be with you,
but now look at me,
all covered in black tears.
I will not let you bring me down,
or get me jealous with you,
being with someone else.
I am stronger than you think
and I will get over you soon..
