Secrets spoken in whispers
The riddles unknown to the heart
Like pages to a mystery
Where the meaning is slowly torn apart

Deaf to dying knowledge
As though living through the words
Fading and soon broken
Keep buried under the absurd

Pleading for the answers
Yet never getting so far
Breathless on the feelings
Which were never ours to start

Longing in the lies
Desperately believing them truths
Puppets to another
But we’re so ready to be used

Waiting for the answers
And hanging on lost moments
Such is the way of secrets
Where nothing is gained from it
