We want you to join the U.S. Military
You’re just a baby getting recruited at 17
Air Force
Army
Coast Guard
Marines
Navy
It doesn’t matter because now
You’re off to war
On a plane eating their
baked beans and MREs
But don’t worry
“You’ll be back in 60-90 days”
Only if you’re being medically discharged –OR—
In a coffin,
medals pinned over your heart,
and grounded to the inspection side
Yeah- you’ve served and died for your country
And what do you have to show for it
A coffin draped with the American Flag
And a 21 gun salute
As for America
No “weapons of mass destruction”
No Bin Laden
And Bush is still alive and—
In office
Aren’t you proud to be living in the land of the free
Let’s Go U.S.A.!!
